Fair Trade Festival

Fair Trade FestivalBe a part of the Fair Trade Movement in Lexington. Come visit our Fair Trade Festival at Spindletop Hall from from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., June 8th. The expo will feature numerous local vendors displaying fair trade goods for sale including items such as clothing and jewelry made by survivors of human trafficking. Also present will be numerous organizations from Lexington and surrounding areas involved in fighting human trafficking.

In support of local efforts to fight human trafficking in Kentucky join us. The 27-hour triathlon finish at 9 a.m. will be celebrated with food, music and prizes. There will be music by DJ Stizz,  a bake sale including Browning's country ham biscuits, fair trade coffee and a fair trade chocolate tasting.

Food Options also include breakfast and lunch items for sale at the Spindletop Barn deli and tikki bar

Entrance and parking are free. Tickets are required for the bake sale, chocolate tasting, kids raffle and kids inflatable. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Cash, check or card is accepted. 
   

A fun event for the whole family and opportunity to learn more about fair trade and support local organizations. The Festival coincides with the finish of a 27 hour continuous triathlon in which over 100 athletes will begin on Friday at 6am and finish at 9am on Saturday during the festival. There will be a documentary crew again shooting footage of this as well as the festival. The festival will end at 1pm. Winners of the silent auction will be announced at 12:30.
